HOUSTON – A man accused of shoplifting at a mall eluded police Saturday night in southwest Houston, officials said.
The incident was reported at 7:38 p.m.

Police said they thought the suspect was barricaded inside a Subway at 7204 Southwest Freeway.
Houston’s SWAT team had the area surrounded.
Police said the suspect got away.
