Sunday sizzler, more storms next week

HOUSTON – We're still looking for a few thunderstorms for the remainder of the afternoon, however; the widespread threat for rain is just about over.

Any remaining storms will slowly wind down through 6-7 p.m. Saturday, we'll keep it muggy and warm with lows only falling into the upper 70s.

Sunday should be more about the heat than the rain. Expect highs back into the mid-90s with "feels like" temperatures between 100 and 106. Storms chances are looking more isolated Sunday afternoon but there's still a chance for some brief downpours.

Next week, a front is forecast to stall out near Dallas helping to draw in more widespread showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday.
