According to Harris County deputies, two people died at the scene and two others were flown to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies said Juan Vilano was driving a gold Dodge Stratus when he crossed into the opposite lane and slammed into a truck.

Vilano and his 19-year-old son were killed.

Jared Thomas, his 14-year-old daughter and his 11-year-old son were inside the truck. Thomas was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, his children were taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Thomas and his daughter have been released from the hospital, but they remain at Memorial Hermann because Thomas' son is in a medically induced coma.
