Man struck by lightning in Montgomery County, NWS says

HOUSTON – A man was struck by lightning Saturday afternoon as storms move through the Montgomery County area, the National Weather Service confirmed.

The incident was reported at 2 p.m. when a Grangerland area man was struck outside his home.

Officials said the bolt struck him in the foot and he is expected to survive. Official said he was taken to Conroe Regional Medical Center.

Firefighters said the victim was very lucky to be alive after being shocked.
