HOUSTON – A young child drowned Friday night in a pool in northwest Harris County, deputies said.
It happened at 8:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Champion Forest Drive.

Deputies said a 2-year-old child was pulled from a pool.
Emergency crews performed CPR on the child, but deputies said the child did not survive.
The identity of the child as well as details on how the child drowned have not been released.
