A man who went to a Massachusetts radio station and demanded to hear a song was arrested after a standoff with police.

CBS News reports the man arrived to the Kiss 108 studios in Medford and requested to hear Insane Clown Posse's "My Axe," while brandishing an ax himself. When the radio station refused to play the song, the man went back to his car and began to "rant" about the incident to several passersby.

"He got out of his car with a machete, stopped a girl who worked up on the second floor and said 'I want you to play a song for me,'" said witness Doreen Schaivone.

Officers responded to a 911 call where they found the man with an several large knives in his car. Police also said the man drank beer and huffed something from a paper bag during the standoff.

After three hours, police were able to convince the man to surrender with minor self-inflicted injuries.

Police say the man will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
