After discovering the dog in the drain, two maintenance workers came out to try to help get the cover off, but couldn't.

The woman said the Pecan Grove Fire Department was called, which came and broke loose the cement to remove the cover and the dog was rescued.

The dog was bathed, fed and taken to a vet to see if it was chipped, but the dog wasn't. The woman said nobody claimed the dog, but they did find it a new home.
