Minnesota man hands cop 'get out of jail free' card

Officer gives suspect 'A for effort'

A Minnesota man who was pulled over last weekend handed the deputy a "get out of jail free card" as he was being arrested, reports local news station KARE.

The officer pulled him over after he noticed the man's car was registered to someone who was wanted on a warrant. The deputy also noticed the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. When Deputy Mike Vai ran the man's ID, it was also discovered the driver was wanted on a separate warrant.

Upon searching the suspect, the officer pulled out the infamous Monopoly card.

Although the card provided a few laughs for law enforcement, the man still landed himself in jail.

We appreciate the humor! Deputy Vai arrested a gentleman this weekend on an outstanding warrant. He carried this Monopoly card just in case. "A" for effort!
