CYPRESS, Texas – Thieves caught on surveillance video stealing expensive rims Sunday from a mechanic shop in Cypress.

"We are new on this side of town, We never thought something like this was going to happen," Chavez said.

Chavez said her husband noticed that the car looked weird when they discovered the Impala was missing all four rims.

She and her husband haven't been in business a year yet and already their shop has been burglarized.

"This couple may be on the run and they need to be caught," Elizabeth Chavez said.

In the video, a man and woman walked into video frame, targeted the Impala and removed the wheels.

The video shows the couple loading the rims into an SUV with a white left rear door and then leave.

"Even though it was nothing, doesn't have that much value but its value for us, you know, as owners because we care about our customers," Chavez said.

Harris County Precinct 5 is investigating the theft.

Anyone with information is asked to call Harris County Office at 281-463-6666.
