HOUSTON – Police are investigating a fatal crash just north of downtown Houston on Monday.

The crash was reported about 8 a.m. near the corner of Carr and Noble streets.

A 66-year-old man was killed when the vehicle he was driving was struck by another vehicle that has failed to yield the right-of-way, police said.

The driver of a gray Mitsubishi GT was westbound on Noble when he stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Carr, according to police.

As the driver pulled away from the stop sign, he failed to yield the right of way to a Chevrolet Venture that was southbound on Carr. The Mitsubishi struck the Chevrolet, causing the Chevrolet to toll over. The driver of the Chevrolet died, according to police.

The driver of the Mitsubishi remained at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time.
