HOUSTON – A young woman was killed in a crash Saturday after being ejected from the vehicle, Houston police said.
The incident was reported at 5:30 a.m. on North Freeway.
Police said the 21-year-old woman drove a Lincoln Mark LT pickup truck through the grass on the west side of the freeway and onto the service road. Police said the pickup truck then struck a fire hydrant and fence.
Police said the woman was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the passenger in the vehicle was treated for minor injuries.
The incident in under investigation.
