HOUSTON – A man was killed Sunday morning after his vehicle struck a light pole and guardrail on Southwest Freeway, police said.
The incident was reported at 12:55 a.m. at 6800 Southwest Freeway.

Police said a 31-year-old man was driving a Honda S2000 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the light pole and guardrail.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the man lost control of his vehicle due to weather conditions.
The incident is under investigation.
