'Security Incident' at JBSA-Lackland 'resolved'

Lockdown lifted after threat made against building

SAN ANTONIO – A "security incident" that was reported Tuesday morning at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland has been resolved.

Base officials released the following statement regarding the incident:

"We have a threat against a building. We take all threats very seriously and responded accordingly. People were instructed to avoid the area. All initial sweeps and secondary sweeps of the affected areas have proved negative and the base lockdown has been lifted. Normal base operations have resumed."

During the lockdown, personnel were being told to stay away from the Arnold Hall area and to several buildings.

The security incident at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland has been resolved.
