School bus involved in crash at 288 and Southmore

HOUSTON – A school bus was involved in a crash Tuesday in southern Houston.

The crash was reported at 7:11 a.m. on northbound Highway 288 at Southmore Boulevard.

Video of the scene showed two cars were also involved in the crash. The emergency exit at the back of the bus was open.

The bus belonged to the Houston Independent School District.

A spokeswoman for the district said there were no students aboard the bus at the time of the crash. She said the driver of the bus was taken to a hospital for treatment.
