Stolen vehicle leads police to teenager with gun on high school campus, officials say

HOUSTON – Charges have been filed after two men sped through a high school parking lot, collided with another vehicle and fled, police said.

The incident was reported Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Summer Creek High School.

Humble Independent School District police said two men riding in a Cadillac, 17-year-old Tydreic Sublet and the 20-year-old man were speeding through the school’s parking lot until they crashed into another vehicle. Police said the pair ran from the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene, but were chased down and caught by police.

Police said one the men had a weapon in his possession when he was arrested and charged with possession of prohibited weapon.

Houston police said the Cadillac was reported as stolen.

Humble ISD officials said the two men were not enrolled or students in their district.
