Girl, 16, accused of crashing into car port during police chase

HOUSTON – A 16-year-old girl was apprehended after a brief chase on Monday, according to authorities.

Around 1 a.m., police said the girl refused to pull over when an officer initiated a traffic stop.

She led police on a chase for about five minutes, police said.

She lost control at a T-intersection and crashed into the corner pillar of a car port near Tarberry Road and Damascus Drive, according to authorities.

She was apprehended after attempting to leave the scene on foot, police said.
