HOUSTON – A crash Monday in northwest Monday flipped an SUV upside down, trapping the driver inside.
A witness said the driver was speeding on Highway 249 at Veterans Memorial when he tried to avoid hitting an 18-wheeler and lost control of the SUV, causing it to flip on its side.

Firefighters said it took about 30 minutes to free the man from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
