HOUSTON – A man is in custody after deputies said he fled in a Precinct 6 SUV.
Deputies said they got a call Tuesday around 5:30 a.m. about a man trying to break into a convenience store.

The man jumped into the SUV and led deputies on a chase to Priest at Burden, where he crashed into a ditch, deputies said.
The man fled on foot to his ex-girlfriend's house nearby and threatened her, authorities said.
Deputies said he left and hid behind a horse stable, where a K-9 unit and helicopter tracked him down.
His ex-girlfriend was not hurt.
