Heartwarming reunion: Military dad surprises kids at baseball game

A father in the Air Force pulled off an emotional surprise for his two children at a minor league baseball game in South Carolina.

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Lance Daigle’s children, Carly and Cameron Daigle, were called out to the mound during a under the guise of winning a prize to throw out the first pitches.

Their father was dressed as the team catcher. Carly threw first, and then Cameron. Neither of the children knew their father was behind the thick protective mask until he approached them and removed it.

Both children cried as they embraced their dad on the field.

Daigle was returning from a six-month deployment in southwest Asia.

The Carolina Mudcats Baseball Club posted the reunion on its Facebook page. The post has been shared more than 41,000 times.
