HOUSTON – Firefighters battled a large fire at a warehouse in east Houston Sunday.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at the warehouse located at 5602 Armour Drive near Kress Street around 6:30 a.m.
Firefighters said the fire caused damage on the outside of the building and smoke damage on the inside of the building, but the fire was contained.
The warehouse was housing mattresses and lumber.
There was no one inside the warehouse at the time of the fire, so arson detectives are investigating how the fire got started.
