Man riding bike killed in hit-and-run crash in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – A man riding his bike was hit by a vehicle and killed Thursday in northeast Houston.

Police said the 54-year-old man was riding his bike just after 3 a.m. in the 9300 block of Tidwell when he was hit  by a person driving a Chevrolet.

The driver did not stop, police said.

Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
