Duo sought in Magnolia apartment home invasion, deputies say

Victim's daughter arrived home during incident, deputies say

MAGNOLIA, Texas – Two people are sought after a home invasion Wednesday evening at an apartment in Magnolia, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were dispatched for a welfare check at the Grand Estates Apartments in the 30000 block of FM 2978 at 7:25 p.m.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies learned two males knocked on the door of a 64-year-old resident.

The woman opened the door and engaged the two males in conversation. Deputies said that's when the males forced their way into the apartment and bound the woman.

The duo then began ransacking the apartment. Deputies said the woman's 34-year-old daughter arrived home sometime during the incident and interrupted the robbery.

A brief scuffle ensued with the daughter, but the duo fled on foot, deputies said.

The suspects are described by the Sheriff's Office as slender black males who wore dark-colored hoodies.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 936-760-5876 or Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-STOP (7867).
