Authorities investigate man's death in Harris County custody, officials say

HOUSTON, Texas – A 31-year-old man who was taken to into the Harris County jail by a private bail agent died in custody, officials said. 

According to deputies, the man, identified by the Harris County medical examiner as Adrian Narcisse, was taken to the Harris County inmate processing center by the private bail agent around 2 p.m. Tuesday. 

Narcisse had open warrants for family assault and child support, deputies said. 

Authorities said Narcisse seemed fine when he arrived, but he had a seizures shortly after his picture was taken, and nurses ran to his side to assist. 

Officials said an ambulance arrived to the processing center at 2:28 p.m. and Narcisse was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center, where he died at 3:25 p.m.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Science will investigate the cause of his death, officials said.
