Teen accused of pointing pellet gun at cars near Humble school

HUMBLE, Texas – A teenager was arrested Tuesday after authorities said he pointed a pellet gun at passing cars near a school in Humble.

The incident was reported about 10 a.m. on FM Road 1960 and Kings Park Way.

According to Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables, authorities received reports of someone pointing a gun at passing cars and walking toward Oak Forest Elementary School. They said callers reported that the person was also making threats.

Officials said authorities from several agencies responded to the area, and police locked down the school.

Investigators said they found a 15-year-old boy in the area who had a black handgun in his waistband. They said further inspection revealed that the weapon was a pellet gun with a realistic design.

The teen was charged with deadly conduct. He was being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.

Humble Independent School District police said the teen is a student at Atascocita High School.
