Rockets ask for Red Nation's support for Game 5, offer deals for early fans

HOUSTON – In the NBA Playoffs, the experience and atmosphere can be game-changing for the players.

The Houston Rockets are asking the Red Nation to encourage them at the home court so they can close out the series with the Thunder in Game 5 Tuesday night.

The doors of Toyota Center will open early, at 5:30 p.m. in hopes that fans will be in their seats ready in time for the 7 p.m. tip off.

Fans who arrive early will be able to purchase $1 concessions, such as beer, soft drinks, hot dogs and nachos until 6:30 p.m.

Ahead of the game, former Rocket’s player Vernon Maxwell, will take the court to get fans fired up and ready to cheer on the Rockets.

There will also be surprise appearances from popular local musicians to perform before the team takes the court.
