5 injured in rollover 2-vehicle crash on I-10 East

BAYTOWN, Texas – All mainlanes were shutdown on I-10 East after a two-vehicle rollover accident Saturday morning, officials said. 

Authorities are unsure what led up to the accident between a red vehicle that was carrying four people and white vehicle that was carrying 20-year-old Martiza Galindo on I-10 East at Sjolander Road around 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

Officials said all five people were injured and taken to the hospital.

According to authorities, a 19-year-old man in stable condition, 20-year-old woman in critical condition and a 21-year-old woman in critical condition were ejected from the red vehicle and had to be taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital. 

Martiza's mother said she was taken to the hospital by ambulance and she was released from the hospital with minor bumps and bruises. 

The condition's of the other four people injured is unknown.
