San Jacinto College professor's students send inspiring messages ahead of Ironman
HOUSTON – A San Jacinto College professor thanked her students on Instagram for their touching messages of support ahead of the Texas Ironman this weekend in The Woodlands.
Casey Prince is participating in the Ironman North American Championship Texas.
The race is comprised of a 2.4-mile swim in Lake Woodlands, a two-loop, out and back 112-mile bike course and 26.2-mile run through The Woodlands.
Prince wrote: “My students are AWESOME! This is my last work day before race day and these sweet souls left me encouraging words to power through Ironman. It's overwhelming at times to see how much love and support is behind me!”
Some of the supportive messages include: "You got this. Just a few more miles. Remember to smile," "Never quit. If you stumble, get back up. What happened yesterday no longer matters. Today's another day. So get back on track and move closer to your dreams and goals. You can do it."
Others wrote: "Don't stop when you're tired. Stop when you are finished!" and, "'He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.' Isaiah 40:29 You made it this far! Don't give up now!"
