The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society held a celebration for the students on Thursday to thank them for their hard work.

Not only did the students surpass their $25,000 fundraising goal, they also become the top raising Texas elementary school in history.

KPRC and our own Eric Braate have teamed up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise money and awareness to fight blood cancers.

Braate is taking part in the Ironman World Championship triathlon in Hawaii in October.
