HOUSTON – A man was killed Saturday when he was hit by a car on Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to police.
Police said that around 10:05 p.m. a man driving a white Ford Taurus south on MLK hit two men crossing the street, killing a 59-year-old man.

The second man was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital listed in critical condition.
Police said the men were not crossing the street at a crosswalk when they were hit. The driver of the Taurus was released after questioning because, police said, the men failed to yield the right-of-way.
The identity of the man killed has not been released.
