HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a man was killed in an accident on April 9.
Police said the driver of a BMW was killed after running a red light on Westpark Drive at the intersection of Hillcroft Avenue around 1:45 a.m.

The driver of a tractor-trailer truck was traveling northbound on Hillcroft Avenue when a silver BMW, which was traveling westbound on Westpark, ran the red light, police said.
The BMW struck the trailer and then passed underneath it, according to police.
The BMW came to a stop about a quarter mile from the crash scene.
The driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, who remained at the scene, was determined to not be impaired. He was questioned and released.
