An 8-year-old girl has died after a three-vehicle accident Thursday, officials said.
According to League City police, two vehicles were stopped in the eastbound lanes in the 2600 block of W. Main Street when a third car rear-ended the vehicles.

The 8-year-old girl, who was in one of the vehicles, was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.
The girl died at the hospital at 1:32 a.m. on Saturday.
League City police are investigating the accident.
It is unknown if anyone else was injured in the collision.
