HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a shooting Wednesday in west Houston that left one man wounded.

Officials said two men were walking on Forkland Drive when two men in a dark-colored vehicle pulled up beside them and one of the men in the car began shooting.

One of the victims outside the vehicle was hit in the neck and then both ran to a nearby Sysco building, where a security guard called the police, officials said.

It is unclear what prompted the shooting.

Police said the victim is expected to survive.
