Employees take cover after would-be thieves smash into NE Harris County CVS

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Employees were forced to hide in a bathroom after would-be thieves smashed a vehicle through the side of a CVS in northeast Harris County, deputies said.

Employees said three men wearing hooded sweatshirts rammed a black Dodge into the building and tried to take an ATM.

Two employees said they were scared for their lives when they ran into the bathroom. They said they stayed hidden until police arrived.

“It was crazy. I honestly thought the ceiling was going to fall on my head or something. I didn’t know what was going on,” one employee said.
“When I heard the first bang, I didn’t know exactly what was happening so I was sitting over there when I popped up, I saw this was all moving, that’s when I ran to the back because I was sure what was happening,” another employee said.

The three men got away in the Dodge without the ATM. The employees believe the alarm scared them away.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
