Police: Woman hits three people, including child, while driving into crowd

Officers said woman had been drinking


HOUSTON – A woman is facing serious charges after police say she drove her car into a crowd at a party in southwest Houston on Saturday night.

Police said a group of people were gathered at Historic Oaks of Allen Parkway on Allen Parkway at Park Vista Drive around 10:30 p.m.

Police said a woman was assaulted at the party and got upset.

The woman got into her car and drove into a group of people, hitting two adults and a child, investigators said.

A witness said one of the adult victims was dragged down the parking lot.

Investigators said partygoers held the woman until police arrived.

Officers said the woman had been drinking.

The woman was arrested and faces multiple charges.  

Police did not reveal the conditions of the victims.
