Man arrested, accused of ramming deputy's car in chase

Man faces felony evading charges

PASADENA, TEXAS – A man was arrested after slamming his car into a deputy's patrol car during a chase that ended in Pasadena, investigators said.

Around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, a Harris County Precinct Eight deputy tried to pull over a driver for speeding in the 3200 block of Pansy Street but the driver refused to stop, the deputy said.

A chase soon started and lasted for about five minutes.

The driver is accused of ramming the deputy's patrol car on Perla Street near Fresca.

The driver lost control of the car, slammed into a street sign, hit a curb then flattened a tire. He ran off but a deputy used a taser to arrest him.

The driver faces several charges, including felony evading.
