Houston-area restaurant group files for bankruptcy

HOUSTON – A group that owns several of Houston's high-profile restaurants has filed for bankruptcy.

The group, "Treadsack," owns Bernadine's, Hunky Dory, Down House, D&T Drive Inn and Johnny's Gold Brick, all of which are in the Heights.

We reached out to the business, which says the restaurants will continue to operate as normal. "We'll just be able to put our debts in a manageable order so we can keep serving guests in the same delightful fashion that everyone knows and loves," the company said.
