HOUSTON – A worker was rescued Friday after he fell into a cooling tower at a downtown Houston building, officials said.
The incident was reported about noon at 811 Main Street.

Officials said the worker fell off a ladder and into the tower. Crews used a basket to rescue the man.
The man suffered injuries to his leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment, officials said. His injuries were not life-threatening, officials said.
The scene was cleared by 1 p.m.
The building is 46 floors, according to the real estate developer's website.
