Crime Stoppers offers $5,000 reward for information

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Investigators will pay up to $5,000 for help making an arrest in a credit card abuse case, officials said Tuesday.

On Feb. 5, a vehicle was vandalized at a sports complex facility in the 14000 block of Red Stone View in Harris County, according to a news release from Crime Stoppers.

The victim’s wallet and his retired police credentials were stolen.

Later that day, the victim noticed an unauthorized charge on his card, made at a store in the 9200 block of West Sam Houston Parkway East, in Humble.

Two people who appear to be in their mid-20s were caught on camera at the store using the victim’s stolen credit card.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s financial crimes division has been looking into the case, along with Crime Stoppers.
