VIDEO: Rollover crash captured on camera; man suspects road rage

ST. LOUIS – A routine drive to a work meeting turned scary for Bradley Derges last Wednesday on a Missouri interstate.

The dash camera on his work vehicle captured the scene as two cars raced down the interstate, and eventually one vehicle swerved and rolled several times.

Derges said he believes it was road rage.

He said, “I just knew something terrible was going to happen from how fast they went by.”

It's becoming more common. The American Automobile Association says aggressive driving is a factor in more than 50 percent of fatal crashes.

After witnessing the stunning crash, Derges said, "It’s just something we shouldn’t do. Pull over. Grab a glass of water. Stop. Forget about it.”

And instead of the dramatic crash, Derges wants people to focus on the other good Samaritans who stopped to help.

"A lot of great people on that highway that day,” he said. “We got the window out of the car and her out. But the car was smoking."

Derges said the driver’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
