Man's body found in home 3 days after deadly stabbing, officials say

HOUSTON – The body of a 53-year-old man, who was stabbed to death, was found three after he was killed, officials said. 

According to police, a couple renting a house in the 9200 block of Willow Meadow Drive called authorities at 10:30 p.m. Saturday to notify them that a man was dead in their home.

Homicide detectives said the man's body had been face down in a back bedroom of the house for three days.

Investigators said the man, who has not yet been identified, was living in the home. 

Police are questioning both residents to find out why authorities were not called sooner.

Officials said the motive and cause of death are still unknown.
