Motorcyclist killed in southwest Houston crash

HOUSTON – A motorcyclist was killed Thursday in a crash in southwest Houston.

The crash was reported about 1:15 p.m. in the 9300 block of Fondren Road.

According to Houston police, a red car was traveling west on Wanda Lane and failed to yield to a motorcycle traveling north at the intersection with Fondren Road.

The 24-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said the driver of the car, who showed no signs of intoxication, was questioned and released.

The identity of the victim will be released later.
