Woman who goes by 'Checked Up Stanka' arrested on outstanding warrants

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – A woman who goes by "Checked Up Stanka" was arrested on outstanding warrants March 6, according to Friendswood police.

Deorqunise Genelle Hawkins, 18, had three outstanding warrants in Harris County when she was apprehended around 5:40 p.m. in north Houston, reports said.

Hawkins is suspected in several grocery store robberies, including the Nov. 13, 2016, robbery of the Friendswood Kroger on FM 528 and the March 3 robbery of the Friendswood Kroger on North Friendswood Drive, according to police.

She was being sought by local and federal law enforcement, police said.

Hawkins is being held in the Harris County Jail and is charged with two counts of robbery and one count of aggravated robbery, according to police.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at the same time as Hawkins, according to police.

Curley Peter Guidry was taken into custody when officers found him in possession of a firearm, crack cocaine, promethazine, hydrocodone, marijuana and a large sum of cash, police said.

Guidry is being held without bond at the Harris County Jail.
