Police ask for public's help identifying man who holds woman at gunpoint, steals purse

HOUSTON – During a press conference Wednesday, police said they believe a man who is responsible for robbing a woman at gunpoint on Feb. 21 might be involved in other robberies. 

The woman was walking in a parking lot in the 6100 block of Corporate Drive around 8:20 a.m., according to police.

The woman said she noticed a man sitting on a staircase while she was heading to work, but before she knew it the man she noticed earlier grabbed her from behind. 

The woman said the man spun her around attacked her while holding a handgun to her stomach and demanded all her belongings. 

The man casually walked away after stealing her purse,  police said.

The man is described as black, about 20 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 130-150 pounds, with black dreaded hair, dark eyes and a medium complexion. He used a silver handgun during the robbery.
