Chase that began near Sugar Land ends in Mission Bend

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Authorities were involved in a chase Wednesday near Sugar Land.

An officer tried to stop the vehicle at West Airport Boulevard and Dairy Ashford Road after a license plate on the vehicle was flagged as stolen, according to Sugar Land police.

Police said the driver refused to stop and a chase began near Highway 90 and Industrial Boulevard.

About 10:50 a.m., the chase had traveled to the intersection of Highway 6 and Beechnut Street.

By 10:57 a.m., the vehicle had traveled to the area of Highway 6 and Empanada Drive.

Video from Sky 2 showed that the chase ended at an apartment complex in Mission Bend. Two handcuffed people could be seen being placed in a police cruiser, but police said the subject of the chase got away.
