Homeowner recounts frightening moments of home invasion

HOUSTON – The victim of a home invasion that happened on Valentine’s Day is speaking only to Channel 2 tonight.

A home security camera caught robber rifling through the victim’s purse after he kicked in the back door.

Details: Robber breaks into home, points gun at 4-year-old boy's head, deputies say

The home is located in the 17900 block of Grassy Fields Court, in Harris County. The homeowner’s aunt was home, looking after the homeowner’s three year old son and her adult niece who has special needs.

The robber placed a gun to the child’s head and threatened to kill him if the aunt did not meet his demands.

“He took the child, pointing the gun at the child and saying that if he didn't get the pin for the safe he was going to kill the child. All that he said is he wanted money, cash and he wanted jewelry,” said the homeowner. “Everything that he could get. She says she is worried. She thinks he might come back doesn't change the fact that she is still scared.”

The aunt gave the robber the pin number to her bank account after he placed the gun to her head. He fled the scene with cash, the aunt’s wedding ring, and jewelry that belonged to the homeowner.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 reward for information leading to the man’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
