Argument leads to deadly shootout, police say

HOUSTON – An argument at a convenience store led to a shootout Tuesday, police said. 

Police were called around 8 p.m. to the Amigo Convenience Store at 9801 Beechnut Street where they found a man in serious condition after he has been shot several times.

According to police, a man was attempting to talk to a woman at a bus stop, but he quickly realized she didn't speak English, so he walked back to his car, which was parked near the convenience store. 

While, the man was sitting in his car, the brother of the woman standing at the bus stop began yelling at the man, officials said. 

According to police, the brother of the woman pulled out a gun and started shooting at the man.

The man, who has a license to carry a concealed handgun, pulled out his gun and began firing multiple shots back at the brother of the woman. 

The brother of the woman was taken to the hospital where he later died. 

The other man was not injured.
