HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a man was found stabbed in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Club Creek Drive near the Mi Tienda Meat Market on Monday.

Investigators said it's unclear if the man was injured at the market or if he was stabbed someplace else and ran to the market looking for help.

People nearby called 911 and the man was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.

A friend of the victim, who also knows the suspect, told KPRC the men were arguing over a woman when one of them pulled out a knife.

He said the suspect took off and hasn't been located.

The condition of the man who was stabbed is unknown.

Police said many witnesses didn't want to speak to police out of fear of being deported.
