2nd suspected serial car burglar arrested in Fort Bend County, deputies say

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – For the second time in two days, Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man suspected in several car burglaries.

The first incident happened on Monday when deputies said a man suspected of burglarizing cars in the Grand Mission Subdivision was arrested. Deputies said Patrick Gifford was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.

The second incident happened when deputies responded at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a man looking into windows and hiding by houses.

Deputies said the man tried to flee the area when they arrived. 

They set up a perimeter and K-9 deputy Rudy eventually found the suspect hiding in the 2200 block of Draycutt Drive in a pool house.

Omar K. Hassan, 21, of Katy, was arrested in the Firethorne Subdivision.
