The Falfurrias Fire Department responded on the morning of April 10, 1994, to a house fire on West 12th Street in Falfurrias.

After the fire was extinguished, DeLeon was found dead in the home.

DeLeon was the only person in the home at the time of the fire, and investigators believe that the fire was the result of arson.

In addition to DeLeon’s case, the DPS said the Texas Rangers’ Unsolved Homicides website provides information on more than 75 cases in an effort to increase public interest in unsolved or “cold cases.”

Anyone with information, is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477). All tips will remain anonymous.
