Man sought after setting Humble house on fire

HUMBLE, Texas – Fire officials and investigators with Crime Stoppers are looking for a man who set fire to a home on purpose, with the intent causing damage, authorities said Thursday.

A reward of up to $5,000 is on the table for information leading to Brandon Smith’s arrest, according to a news release.

About 11:30 a.m. Aug. 13, Smith started several fires inside a home in the 2700 block of Blue Jay Circle, in Humble.

The Humble Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate.

Smith, 34, is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 300 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, officials said. He is considered a fugitive.
